The Driftless Revelers

Thursday February 19th

The Driftless Revelers formed in the second spring of the first global pandemic of the 21st century, with one ear turned toward the shellac platters and Victrola virtuosos of the early to mid 20th century, and the other ear glued to the soundscapes of the 1960's & 1970's American freak-folk scene.

Featuring the original songwriting of Ben Nelson, Matthew R. Sayles, and Jerod Kaszynski, the Driftless Revelers will pleasure a crowd with plectral wah pedal banjo tones, the mournful wailing of resophonic steel guitars, and the up-right bass bellows of an era that can't quite be defined, but revels in the timeless ephemera of weird old-time American music.

With influences as varied and eccentric as a proper musty smelling thrift store record collection, the band grooves merrily through early roots blues and jazz music, to hillbilly and string band howlers, all the way into the not-quite folk but not-quite psychedelic realms of their own creation.

A Driftless Revelers show will lure you in with their joy--keep you dancing with their search for the cosmic groove in the confines of stringed instruments--and will send you on your way with flashbacks of the Driftless Revelry found only in the essence of the intangible reaches of notes once played-- that then fall silent.

Field Trip

Friday February 20th

Formed in Bucca di Beppo’s (not the popular Italian-American family-style restaurant chain, but just an actual basement owned by a guy named Joe) Field Trip began as a musical experiment: What would popular songs from the late 1900’s sound like if they were played by us? Could we hit the high notes on Whitney Houston’s cover of the Queen Of Nashville’s ‘I Will Always Love You’? What would happen if we blend the theme song from hit 1980’s film Back To The Future with the erotic stylings of Marvin Gaye? To this day, we still ask these fundamental questions, and also why Andy continues to be the way that he is.

For us, music is about the search for possibilities. As Tom Petty once said, “the future was wide open,” and for Field Trip, it is. It truly is.

Field Trip plays songs by:

Otis Redding, Neil Young, The Band, Marvin Gaye, Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, Talking Heads, Little Feat, David Bowie, The Beatles, Genesis, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, Temple of the Dog, Pink Floyd, The Police, and more.

Recalcitrant event photo

Recalcitrant

Friday March 6th

Hailing from Milwaukee, Recalcitrant brings a funky reggae influenced hip-hop jam rock everywhere they go. Conceived in 2002 as an underground hip-hop project, the group quickly found themselves gravitating towards live performance incorporating musical instruments. While staying true to hip-hop roots, the band began experimenting with different styles, combining elements of rock, reggae, funk, and jam influences to create a sound that is purely Recalcitrant.

With focus on original music that has been described as “progressive reggae”, live performance is always a fun filled energetic event. The Late 2000's found the band sharing the stage with national acts such as,The Big Wu, Orgone, The Heavy Pets, The Original Wailers,Pennywise,Les Claypool and Cosmic Railroad. Great things are on the horizon, and we invite you to join the fun! Recalcicitrant's 2nd Album

Colin Donley Band event photo

Colin Donley Band

Friday April 24th

Collin hails from Sheridan, Wyoming, where wide-open spaces and a healthy blue-collar chip on his shoulder helped shape his sound. With his musical roots wrapped around the storytelling of Jamey Johnson, the grit of John Fogerty, and the edge of James Hetfield, Collin delivers a brand of country that leans dark, honest, and unapologetically raw. Blending outlaw country with a heavier, rock-infused backbone, his sound walks the line between tradition and rebellion. Built for backroads, barrooms, and wherever real stories still matter.
